Scoring
eases the task of folding thicker papers without affecting the quality
of the finished product.
Scoring
is produced by gently mechanically impressing a seam into the
grain of the paper. Without it, folds will lack in appeal, appearing
to either be uneven, or produce unslightly mini-tears and mini-bulges
along the path of the paper grain where folded.
